This article explains how to configure a Rounding Policy.

Add a new Policy

1) Navigate to Settings>Pay Management


2) Click the Rounding Policy tab.

3) Use the Select Policy dropdown menu to choose Add New
4) Enter a name for the policy.

Punch Rounding

To round individual punches, activate Punch Rounding.

Punch Rounding does not apply to punches entered manually.


Shift Rounding

Shift Rounding applies to punches done when an employee is assigned to a Shift or Schedule. When a punch occurs within the configured rounding period surrounding the Start Time and End Time on the Shift or Schedule, it will be rounded to the specified increment.


Select Schedule to round punches based on the Start and End time on the employee's Schedule.

Select Shift to round punches based on the Start and End time on the employee's assigned Shift.


Define the rounding period by entering the number of minutes in Fields B and C

Enter the rounding increment in Fields A and D

In/Out Punch Rounding

In/Out Punch rounding applies to punches done when an employee is not assigned to a Shift or Schedule (Float) and to punches done outside of the configured rounding period applicable to an employee's assigned Shift or Schedule. 

Rounding is configured separately for In Punch and Out PunchClick each tab to access the configuration. 
Select a rounding increment.
Define the rounding period by entering the number of minutes in the rounding point field.

If Apply to Meals, Breaks is selected, Lunch and Break punches will be rounded.

Click the Save button to save the policy.

Daily Total Rounding

Daily Total Rounding rounds the total hours worked each shift day.

Select a rounding increment.

Enter the number of minutes for the Grace Period in the "In" rounding point in minutes field.

Click the Save button to save the policy.
